Between 04/09/2019 – 05/09/2019 , the first training module and the opening conference took place at the Debrecen Police Training Center within ROHU 183 BORDER SAFE, SAFER LIFE project .
The following topics were addressed during the training activity:
- European legislation in the field of migration (fundamental rights and competent national institutions in the field). The current situation of illegal migration at the RO-HU border (risks and threats) ;
- The technique and equipment used for the control and surveillance of the state border. Current trends and practices used in fraudulent border crossing, migrant trafficking, forgery in travel documents (practical and theoretical aspects) ;
- Working procedures and strategies on migration. Police aspects of traffic and joint activities (joint patrolling) during the tourist season ;
- Use of weapon and force in police intervention. Differences in legislation and practices among the two countries. Identifying the stolen vehicles at the border crossing points.
Policemen from ITPF Oradea, Bihor County Police and Hajdu Bihar County Police are being instructed within the training modules.

The training takes place in the three training facilities rehabilitated and equipped (training room belonging to the Prefecture of Bihor County, shooting range renovated by IPJ Bihor and conference room renovated belonging to Hajdu Bihar County Police), using equipment purchased within the project.
